Glyciphage PG 2  is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps to regulate the levels of blood sugar and thus to avoid severe diabetes complications. It is also used in women for the treatment of menstrual disorders such as Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
